Our first session, "Become Friends With Your Fretboard" aired tonight on the Long Island Blues Society's Facebook page. Got an idea for a session? Got some skills you would like to share? We are doing this monthly and welcome all members who want to pitch in. Shoot an email to email@example.com and let us know.
The Long Island Blues Society's Blues Harmonica Guild recently held its first major online event and members were in harp heaven.
Watch it here and see for yourself.
The Blues Harmonica Guild is a free member benefit for members of the Long Island Blues Society.
Blue Roots and The Hideaways harmonica ace Scott Micchiche has always been known for having a big, fat, full tone. Harmonica Bill Lifford says he's one of my favorite players and every time Scott takes to the bandstand, you know you are going to hear lowdown greasy harp. So when we formed the Blues Harmonica Guild, Scott was one of the first players we contacted to come join us and share some of the tips and tricks he's picked up over the years.
Players of all ability levels will benefit from this video.
Join us. Become part of the blues scene on Long Island. Member discounts, shows, loads of fun!
EMBRACE THE NOISE!
Part two of the Blues Education Series features guitar wizard Dan O'Rourke's presentation on controlling the inherent noisiness of the electric guitar. Also includes a demonstration of ways to control the noise using your equipment and playing techniques.
