A Virtual Blues Festival Zooming To a Screen Near You
This could be the start of something BIG!
Since before the International Blues Challenge last year in Memphis, the Long Island and Hudson Valley Blues Societies have been trying to find a way to work together to promote our common goal: Keeping the Blues Alive.
A virtual Bluesfest on March 14, commencing at 1 pm, is the first step for our societies to jointly provide an opportunity for blues musicians and fans to safely play -- or just sit back and enjoy a few hours of -- live music.
We are taking requests from bands/solo-duo acts now (e-mail info@libsny.org if you want to perform). Please understand slots are limited, but hopefully this will be the first of many such events.
In the coming weeks we will post log-in info and send guidelines to the participating bands.
